2019 Spring Concert

Our 2019 Spring Concert was held on Saturday 18th May at Rougemont School (our first time in their new concert hall). The concert celebrated the choir’s 30th Anniversary and the programme comprised some of the choristers’ own choices. We were saddened by the death in February of our president, Mr Paul Flynn MP, but felt very privileged to take part in his funeral at Newport Cathedral last month. Paul’s wife, Sam, had asked us to perform “I would be true”, and this is one of the pieces we are performing in our forthcoming

At the end of the concert presentations were made to Guy Harbottle for 10 years as Musical Director, and to David Martyn Jones for 10 years as Deputy MD and also 30 years
